Freedom Run to Start your Day
Yes, it’s an early day for your Fourth of July Run – Set your alarm to be able to arrive at 7:15 am. This will be the 23rd year for this popular run. Select from the 5K, 1 Mile or the Tot Trot for those young family members! For more detailed information, go to http://www.itsyourrace.com
Time for a Parade!
You won’t have long to wait after the Freedom Run for the Fourth of July Parade. The parade starts at 10:00 am, and it’s on Rain or Shine. The parade starts at the Woodstock Elementary School located on Rope Mill Road, travels south on Main Street and ends at Sam’s Club near 92.
The fun has only started!
The Fourth of July fun is only getting better! The kids will LOVE the going to the Fourth of July Festival! Expect a lot of food and Arts & Crafts. The Festival will be at The Park at City Center located at 101 Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock. Enjoy the music by A Theory of Now band.
You waited all day for the Fireworks!
Celebrating the Fourth of July with Fireworks has been a long-time, American tradition. American first started celebrating our independence on July 4, 1777 in Philadelphia with bonfires, bells and Fireworks. It just wouldn’t be the Fourth of July without ending the day with Fireworks with family and friends.
Fourth of July Fireworks – Woodstock GA
The Fireworks for Woodstock are located at the Target Shopping Center (Highway 92 near 575) The first of the fireworks start at Dusk. This normally happens at about 9:00 pm. You’ll enjoy seeing people of all ages proudly wearing their Fourth of July attire to top off the night.
Secret Parking Spot for Fireworks
As long as you promise not to tell anyone, I’ll share with you the best place to park to see the Woodstock Fourth of July Fireworks. Our family enjoys attending the Fireworks, but it can be a challenge to go home after the Fireworks! The best place for both watching and parking for the fireworks in Woodstock is in front of the Starbucks on 92. The front grassy area is both level and comfortable for either setting up chairs or a big blanket for a direct view of the fireworks. What makes this location perfect? When the fireworks end, you can easily jump into your car and be on I575 before most people even get into their cars! ZOOM. You can be back home and avoid the long lines of traffic!
